Story

I am joining the Share the Road tour fro the second time this year.

Toll Group has teamed with leading cycling advocacy group, the Amy Gillett Foundation, to promote road safety on Australian roads. This reflects our commitment to safety as a core value.

The 2014 Amy’s Share the Road Tour will be held in Queensland in order to capitalise on the recent introduction of the two year legislative trial relating to minimum passing distances for motorists passing bike riders.

The Share the Road tour is the major fundraiser for the Foundation and it is great to have the support from some of Toll's key suppliers this year, who in turn can spread the road safety message.

I would welcome any donation great or small that you could make!

Thanks

Mal

Amy Gillett Foundation

The Amy Gillett Foundation (AGF) began its work in 2006 in the name of Amy Gillett, who was tragically killed as a result of being hit by a motorist whilst cycling with the Australian Women’s Road cycling team in Germany in 2005.
The Amy Gillett Foundation's vision is for safe bicycling throughout Australia in order to achieve the ultimate target of zero bicycling fatalities.
The Foundation promotes a safe and harmonious relationship of shared respect between bicyclists and motorists – to highlight the importance of being responsible every time we head out on the road whether we're on two wheels or on four. Why? Because everyone deserves to arrive at their destination safely irrespective of their chosen mode of transport.
